DEI Statement

At Living Well Institute and Garner Pelvic Health, we regard inclusivity and equity of each person regardless of gender, race, sexual orientation, religion, socioeconomic status, and age to be indispensable for a healthy community and an effective healthcare system.

Our Mission is to transform healthcare for both providers and patients by caring for the whole person.

We believe that you matter, and that your experience of both delivering therapy or receiving therapy is an opportunity to communicate your value.

We value you and we believe that you belong here.

We believe that everyone deserves access to affordable and effective physical and occupational therapy care.

We believe that in order to help those who have suffered injustices we must practice compassionate care, understand the effects of trauma, communicate with kindness, and be able to create safe spaces for individuals to heal and recover.  We believe that we must take responsibility for the privileges we’ve experienced and follow through with actions to change the community biases and oppressive systems that are fostering continued inequalities.

We believe that talk is cheap, and we must act to see change. We will push to further advocate inclusivity and equity in healthcare through connection, policy creation and community service.

We believe the benefits of yoga and mindfulness can be taught in a way that is non-dogmatic, trauma-informed and welcoming to all religious backgrounds and belief systems.

We believe that everyone has a right to not only survive, but to thrive.  We are committed to creating a safe space to achieve your personal health and professional goals.
