Is Telehealth Right for You?
Telehealth may be a good option if you:
- Live outside of the Greensboro, NC area
- Have difficulty traveling due to pain, mobility limitations, work, or family responsibilities
- Want an expert perspective before pursuing additional treatments or procedures
- Are seeking a comprehensive approach to pelvic and musculoskeletal health concerns
- Need case management for endometriosis, hypermobility (EDS/hEDS), and/or hip dysplasia that can be complicated by seasons of life (think menopause, postpartum, prenatal, or simply cyclical pain)Â
- Need ongoing guidance and support between in-person visits
- Want help understanding your symptoms and determining the next steps in your care
Some patients receive their care entirely through telehealth, while others begin virtually and later travel to North Carolina for an intensive in-person visit when appropriate.

How Telehealth Works
Step 1: Free Consultation (Optional)
A complimentary 10-minute phone consultation is available if you would like to discuss your concerns, learn more about Dr. Garner’s approach, and determine whether telehealth or concierge care is the right fit.
The free consultation is not required. If you are ready to begin, you may schedule a Discovery TeleConsult directly.
Step 2: Discovery TeleConsult
The Discovery TeleConsult serves as the foundation for your care. Before recommending treatment or scheduling additional visits, Dr. Garner takes time to understand your medical history, current concerns, previous treatments, goals, and overall health.
During your Discovery TeleConsult, Dr. Garner will:
- Review your health history and current symptoms
- Complete a comprehensive lifestyle medicine and integrative medicine assessment
- Discuss previous treatments, testing, and relevant medical records
- Help identify factors contributing to your symptoms
- Provide personalized recommendations to support your overall health
- Discuss appropriate next steps and determine whether ongoing care is the right fit
The Discovery TeleConsult is designed to help you better understand your symptoms and identify the next steps in your care.
Step 3: Follow-Up TeleConsults
Follow-up telehealth visits provide continued support as your care progresses.
Depending on your needs, follow-up visits may include:
- Reviewing your progress and adjusting your care plan
- Discussing symptom changes and new concerns
- Providing education and self-management strategies
- Supporting lifestyle and movement goals
- Coordinating care with your healthcare team
- Reviewing recommendations from other providers
- Preparing for or recovering from procedures or surgery
When permitted by state regulations, follow-up visits may also include physical therapy services.
Telehealth Licensing & Physical Therapy
Dr. Garner provides telehealth services in accordance with state licensing requirements and regulations.
If you live in a state where Dr. Garner is licensed or able to provide physical therapy through the Physical Therapy Compact, she may be able to provide physical therapy services through telehealth, depending on your state’s requirements.
If you live in a state where Dr. Garner cannot provide physical therapy services virtually, the Discovery TeleConsult is still available. During this consultation, Dr. Garner can:
- Review your medical history and symptoms
- Discuss your pelvic health and orthopedic concerns
- Help you understand what physical therapy should include
- Provide guidance on finding appropriate local providers
- Assist with building a coordinated care team
- Discuss the option of traveling to North Carolina for an intensive in-person visit
For patients located in a PT Compact state where Dr. Garner is not currently licensed, the cost of obtaining the required compact privilege is covered by the patient before any follow-up visits can occur.
